"Metamorphosis and Transformation
27 September 2014 – 11 January 2015
Magdalene Odundo began her exploration of glass during a residency at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington in 2011. It was here, and at Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, that she created the installation Metamorphosis and Transformation now recreated for display at National Glass Centre. Also drawing on inspiration from the River Nile and the people of East Africa, this work marks a key transition in Magdalene Odundo’s work between her ceramics and her current work in glass."
