Hambidge10--smoke firing

For experimenting with combustibles--straw and sheep's dung.

It has been a practice to wrap pieces in foil with salts, and in this case shredded paper; a left over habit from earlier saggering days. Mostly it is 'let's see what happens' approach. Pieces are also wrapped with string, yarn or taped (paper) for linear designs.

Mid-sized garbage can with shredded paper on the bottom with straw on top-pieces placed in the straw.

Smaller metal tub filled with paper and dung.

All left to burn away overnight.
